How often should my lawn be mowed in Florida?
During the summer rainy growing season (April through October), lawns typically require weekly mowing. During the cooler winter months (November through March), bi-weekly mowing maintains turf health without over-cutting.
What is the best type of sod for Charlotte County yards?
Floratam St. Augustine is the most popular choice for full-sun yards. Palmetto St. Augustine is recommended for shaded areas near trees, while Empire Zoysia provides a soft, fine-textured drought-tolerant lawn.
When is the best time to prune palm trees?
Palm fronds should only be pruned when they turn yellow or brown. We recommend late spring pruning to remove seed pods and dead fronds ahead of hurricane season, avoiding harmful ‘hurricane cuts’
